As youth who live in Merced, we developed Promise Merced in order to positively influence the way members of our community think, speak, and act toward Merced. We love living in Merced because of the beautiful places, people, and experiences that we have here.
We want Merced to improve in knowing what a wonderful place it is, so we ask members of our community to take a promise to give their best effort to show kindness toward our beautiful County of Merced through their thoughts, words, and actions. The pledge that we ask people in our community to take says: "I promise my community and myself that I will give my best effort to think, speak, and act in a way that shows kindness toward Merced."
Promise Merced started in the Young Leaders Association, which is a leadership club for all the students participating in Building Young Leaders.
